DL.TV
Probably my favorite tech vidcast, it is done by Patrick Norton and "this other dude". I tend to enjoy listening to Patrick a lot more than I do Kevin Rose. Great source for tech news and just generally cool stuff.
TWIT
Needs no introduction as it regularly scores at the top of most podcast lists and not just in the tech category. I enjoy listening to Leo LaPorte and the guys, but sometime Leo can come off as too much of an Apple fanboy. It's supposed to be "This Week in Tech". Not "This Week in Apple"- TWIA or TWIM- "This Week in Mac". That being said, this show is really the standard that all other podcasts must measure themselves against.
Diggnation
This one is also usually at the top of the lists, this one is done by Kevin Rose and "this other dude". I find it rather annoying at times, as it sometimes comes across as a Kevin Rose fanpod rather than a tech or Digg podcast. But I do usually check it out to see if there is anything interesting they are talking about. And also to see what kind of beer they are drinking this week. That is probably the coolest aspect of the show, is the exposure to different kinds of beers as I am a beer connoiseur.
PlanetTV Daily
Some truly interesting stuff found by this guy and showcased on his vidblog. But the guy reminds me of some overly exuberant youth pastor on "Acquire the Fire" on a Christian TV network. His repetitive quirks and inro to the show are a little annoying as well, but I find myself watching the show every day because I know I'll see something intereresting. "Because it is better to hurt your mouth, than to hurt someone else's nose".
Rocketboom
Why is this show so popular and why do I keep watching? I suspect it is because of the natural beauty of Amanda Cogdon, but sometimes there is some interesting stuff to be found here. Her quirks are even more annoying than Lucian's are from PlanetTV, but once again I find myself watching every day because sometimes she has some interesting stuff. Other days, the show is only about 30 second long and I find myself asking "What the hell was that?"
Spacemusic
Awesome source for electronic/trance or as he calls it, space music. Alot of people say they listen just for his voice and I have to say his voice is very soothing. Kind of like sitting in the dentist's chair with laughing gas being piped into your lungs, this show is like laughing gas via the ears. Very relaxing music show from Amsterdam.
OrbitalGrooves
As the byline says, "Only the best in breakbeat, trance, house, drum n bass, and techno". A little more upbeat than spacemusic, this one is for the party instead of the relaxation.
Sean Hannity
My daily dose of conservative rhetoric. Sometimes I agree, sometimes the guy makes me angry.
Randi Rhodes
My daily dose of liberal rhetoric. Sometimes I agree, sometimes I want to strangle her, but she is always funny and makes me laugh. More entertaining than Sean Hannity and she always has the goods to back up her claims, as she regularly reads and quotes from major news magazines and newspapers. But sometimes she can descend into banality.
NBC news- Meet the Press
Needs no introduction, as this has been a sunday morning mainstay of television, but now available via podcast. I just loved it last week when the liberal democrats were blasting Bush for his "illegal" wiretapping, but when asked by Tim Russert if we should abandon the program, they all unanimously said the same thing. "Oh no, it's a great program." So far, the only commentator I have heard to pick up on this was Sean Hannity.
There are a few other podcast I listen to on a semi-regular basis and I will review them in a later post.
